Summer Company Spotlight: Zoe Moffat-Lynch

Slumber parties were the epitome of childhood fun. It took a bit of sourcing but with the right sheets, lights and pillows – living rooms were transformed all across the world. Slumberzzz, a new Summer Company business founded by Zoe Moffat-Lynch, is bringing the ultimate sleepover experience to the South Georgian Bay region. Slumberzzz provides a curated set-up of mattresses, twinkle lights, accessories and goodie bags for your littles with no fuss, no muss and all of the birthday magic.

Parents, aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas and godparents – this is the move! If you have a child in your life who loves to play with friends and jumps with excitement for a slumber party, let Zoe come in and transform the day into an unforgettable memory.

Set-up happens from 2pm – 4pm on party days and tear down will happen the following day between 10am – 12pm.

What inspired you to start your business?

When I was younger, I would set up sleepover tents for my friends and they loved it. We remember so much from those sleepovers and we made many memories together. Ever since then, I kept thinking how cool it would be to create setups like that for other kids to enjoy with their friends. Insert, Slumberzzz. I’m looking forward to providing this offering to kiddos in our area.

What services or products do you offer?

My current offering is tent and decor set-ups for children’s sleepovers. Each experience comes with goodie bags that include candy, scrunchies, jewellery and socks.

Who do you look up to for ideas and inspiration?

I look up to my aunt and uncle because they are successful entrepreneurs and are really good examples of hard work paying off.

What kind of experience do you want your clients to have?

I’m hoping parents feel like they received a valuable experience for their kids and that the setup isn’t something they could have done on their own. Kids should wake up feeling like they just had the most luxurious sleepover and have made lifetime memories with their friends.

Who is your biggest cheerleader (and why)?

My mom is my biggest cheerleader! She has helped and encouraged me throughout this entire Summer Company process.

What does success look like to you – when will you know you’ve achieved it?

I’ll know I’ve hit the jackpot when kids are happy, parents feel grateful, and Slumberzzz is referred to other people. I’ll also feel successful as bookings increase and allow me to expand my business through offering additional themes and packages.

What is one important skill every person should have?

Organization is one important skill everyone should have. When starting a business, there are so many things to do and keeping track of every single component is key.

What are your favourite local spots to visit on a day off?

One of my favourite local spots to visit is the Blue Mountain Village. It’s a great spot to hang with my friends as they’ve always got something going on from events to live music. In second, the beach. My family and I love spending time at the beach and we are so lucky to live by so many great options.
