Tell us about your journey as an entrepreneur. What sparked the idea to start your business?
Honestly, we needed to find a way to justify hanging out with one another on a regular basis. We have always been family oriented but as life got busier and more complex, there was less and less time for intentional connection.

During my kids’ baptism, which we (Julian & Javier) set up, we realized there was gold in providing the structure for connection, laughter, and stress-free living, even if just for an evening.

We saw this as an avenue to reconnection. Coming from the healthcare industry, we have seen our share of pain and despair. As we continue to mature through our own lived experiences, we started to recognize the need to slow things down and prioritize what matters most, our families, and the time we spend with them.

What products or services do you offer, and how do they solve a problem or meet a need?

We provide a complete range of event rentals—including tents, tables, chairs, linens, and dishware—while also brokering and coordinating additional services such as catering, entertainment, and specialty rentals through our trusted vendor network. Our one-stop-shop model saves clients the hassle of contacting multiple providers, delivers transparent pricing, and ensures every detail is coordinated for a smooth, stress-free event.

Who or what do you turn to for creative ideas and business inspiration?

We draw inspiration from our community, our clients’ stories, and our own family celebrations. Seeing the joy on people’s faces motivates us to dream up new ways to make events special. We also look to industry trends, wedding shows, and our network of vendors to spark fresh, creative ideas.

What sets your business apart? What do you want people to remember about you?

Our hybrid model, blending direct rentals with brokering, means clients get maximum choice without maximum stress. We’re family-owned, community-focused, and proudly bilingual—ensuring inclusivity for Spanish-speaking and multicultural events. We want people to remember that working with Party Bros Co. felt like having a trusted friend in their corner, making their celebration easy, joyful, and unforgettable.

Why did you apply for the Starter Company Plus program, and what are you hoping to gain from it?

We applied to the SC+ program to gain the tools, mentorship, and resources to grow Party Bros Co. into a household name in Simcoe County. The program’s guidance will help us refine our operations, expand our reach, and build the systems we need to scale while staying true to our personal, community-driven approach.

What’s one piece of advice that keeps you grounded or motivated?

“Focus on the people, and the rest will follow.” Whether it’s a wedding, a fundraiser, or a backyard BBQ, we remind ourselves that we’re not just renting tents and tables—we’re helping create moments people will cherish for a lifetime. That mindset keeps us motivated, even on the busiest days.

How has being part of a local business community shaped your journey?

Being part of the local business community has been like joining a big, supportive family. We’ve learned from fellow entrepreneurs, collaborated on events, and built relationships that go far beyond business. The encouragement, shared resources, and genuine community spirit have helped us grow faster and stay connected to what matters most—serving our neighbours.

How do you celebrate achievements and milestones within your business?

We celebrate the same way we encourage our clients to—by making it personal and meaningful. Sometimes it’s as simple as a toast after a big event, other times it’s a team BBQ or a night out with our families. We also share our wins with our community on social media, because every milestone is thanks to their support. For us, celebration isn’t just about marking success—it’s about taking a moment to appreciate the people and relationships that got us there.

What do you consider to be your core strengths as an entrepreneur?

Adaptability, relationship-building, and a “solutions-first” mindset. We’re quick to pivot when challenges pop up, we genuinely enjoy connecting with people, and we focus on solving problems before they become stress points for our clients. Those strengths keep our events running smoothly and our clients coming back.

How do you prioritize work-life balance?

We treat balance the same way we treat events—plan it in. Family time is non-negotiable, and we build our schedules to protect it. We also lean on clear boundaries, shared responsibilities, and the reminder that a well-rested mind is more creative. After all, if we want to create joyful events for others, we have to make space for joy in our own lives too

What’s the most memorable feedback you’ve received from a client?

One client told us, “You didn’t just set up a tent—you made our family feel taken care of.” That reminder that our work is about people, not just equipment, is something we carry into every event.

If you had an extra hour in the day, how would you spend it?

Connecting—whether that’s brainstorming fresh event ideas, meeting with local vendors over coffee, or just catching up with family. Relationships fuel both our business and our happiness, so we’d spend that extra hour investing in them.

What quote or mantra keeps you inspired?

“Leave people better than you found them.” It’s simple, but it keeps us focused on adding value, kindness, and joy to every interaction—whether we’re with a client, a vendor, or a stranger at the coffee shop.
