Intellectual Property (IP) issues are important for business owners and entrepreneurs to consider, from protecting one’s own work to navigating issues surrounding infringement.

This workshop will cover key IP strategy points that business owners and entrepreneurs should take into account alongside their business plan(s). Namely:
– (1) An Overview of IP;
– (2) Identifying your IP assets;
– (3) Determining needs and goals;
– (4) Understanding the IP landscape;
– (5) Developing and implementing a plan; and
– (6) How to reassess and realign going forward.

The presentation will also speak to external supports available in Ontario and Canada, and will feature representatives from the IP Innovation Clinic (Osgoode Hall Law School, York University).
