Artebula’s #rainbowsforheroes initiative recognizes warriors on the frontlines
Submit your children’s artwork to lift the spirits of essential service workers
COLLINGWOOD, April 6, 2020 – With the incredible contributions we’ve seen from frontline workers through these difficult times, our children’s heroes are now people that they’ve always known – nurses, cashiers, drivers, doctors, and many other familiar faces. To honour these amazing individuals who are keeping our world together, we are launching our #rainbowsforheroes initiative, which will share our children’s artwork with the very heroes who inspire them every day.
Children all over the world have found ways to lift our spirits over the past few weeks. They have drawn smiling faces and hung them in their windows, held up positive messages as neighbours pass, and clapped or banged on pots and pans to celebrate our frontline workers. They have inspired us all to do what we can to make a difference in the world, and now it’s Artebula’s turn to join in.
#rainbowsforheroes is our way of supporting children as they use art and creativity to share messages of hope. Over the next 2 weeks, we’ll be collecting wonderful rainbow drawings from children all over North America and the United Kingdom and displaying them on our website. We will need 60 of those drawings to combine into very special souvenir posters that will be sent to 100 heroes nominated on social media. People can tag as many heroes as they wish, and we will select 100 at random. Although we’re a small start-up with limited resources, we want to spread joy and help folks on the frontlines look for the rainbow at the end of this uncertainty.
Want to get involved? Visit our website at www.artebula.com and submit rainbow artwork from the children in your life. If you live in North America or the UK, you can nominate a hero to receive a free rainbow poster by tagging them via our #rainbowsforheroes posts on social media or from our website.
Please help us spread the word!
